Hi,

I have a suggestion for the author of the module "Easy Classroom Websites with Home Page Construction Kit" that I think would be really helpful to users of TeachMac. It would be great, if the module description indicated that "Home Page Construction Kit" is for a very specific audience. I had never heard of it, but being a teacher and interested in creating online content for my courses, I downloaded the module in spite of the warning that it was very large.

The module is well done and I am sure very useful for everyone working with this software. However, someone outside this particular school district (or other school districts that use this software), would not know what to do with it. This is particularly important since TeachMac has a global audience (I am in Germany, for example). Just one more sentence in the module description would have told me that this module is not for me.

I think that TeachMac is ideally suited to distribute such very focused training modules. So this suggestion would go for anyone who is working on such modules: please let people know exactly what it is about. This will also make it easier, as TeachMac grows, for people in the target audience to find the models specifically made for them.

Thank you!

We are already at work on version 4 of TeachMac. What I'm most excited about is a much more robust search feature. The more detailed the descriptions and the supporting text the easier it will be for people to find content. Its best to think about the library being in the hundreds and the need for detailed descriptions will be obvious. We're even thinking about rewriting some or ours for this reason.
