When I listen to the music in iTunes, some of the TeachMac music seems way too loud. Is there any way to adjust the volume?

You can't adjust the volume, but that isn't a problem. You probably have Sound Check turned on in the iTunes Playback Preferences. Turn off Sound Check, and that should solve the playback volume problem.
